 Gallery 1

This gallery is a collection of images taken along the Maine coast and while out sailing on the schooner Stephen Taber.

A National Treasure, the Stephen Taber built in 1871 is the oldest continuously sailing vessel in the United States.

The Maine coast has such variety, from our working lobster boats and fishing fleet, to century old schooners that once carried lumber, now taking guests on a trip back in time. Whatever the craft it is always obvious that these mariners take pride in what they do and thier seafaring heritage.

You may recognize the 3 masted schooner Victory Chimes in some of the photos, it is the schooner on our Maine State Quarter.
